A dream project for the client, this farmhouse is located amidst the ample greens of Lonavala. Designed as a 4BHK vacation home, the home caters to a multitude of activities, privacy concerns and spaces, with a scope of expansion in the future.
Serving to the modern architecture preferences of the user, the farmhouse offers panoramic views of the scenery around, while providing a safe haven riddled with subtle details, bold design choices and a clear burst of inspiration in every corner. The bold effect of the glass is balanced with a calm colour palette of soothing woods, greens and greys.

The basis of the design was to cater to the varied user base, ensuring a clear division between public and private, without hampering the aesthetic appeal or the flow of the house. This is achieved through simple volumetrics, with the two blocks bridged together, quite literally, through a glass bridge. A fine juxtaposition of the serenity of Lonavala and the modernity of Mumbai, the design aims to create an escape from a bustling busy life.

As one drives through the road surrounding the site, they are welcomed by strong volumes and tall glazings punctured by niche details, serenity of simple materials and a classic use of stones. The aim of the design is to keep a simple volume and help it shine through the interspersion of open and contained spaces, while creating landscapes that cater to a number of crowds.
